Hey there, I'm Sandipan Dey 👋
I'm a Software Engineer at Galoy with 6+ years of experience building resilient, high-performance systems that power real-world financial and Bitcoin applications. My expertise lies in architecting reproducible infrastructure, secure backend systems, and developer-centric tools using Rust, Nix, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
Currently working as SDE II at Galoy, I'm building the next-generation digital asset-backed banking platform Lana Bank — a Bitcoin-collateralized banking system designed for multi-role financial operations using event-sourced architecture and domain-driven design.
Previously, I was the principal maintainer of Blink Wallet, shipping releases to 150K+ users on iOS and Android, handling everything from UI/UX revamps to CI/CD automation with end-to-end testing and staggered rollouts.
My work bridges software engineering and infrastructure design — making complex systems reliable, scalable, and elegant to operate. Beyond building production systems, I'm passionate about open source, having contributed to Bitcoin Dev Kit as a Summer of Bitcoin 2021 intern, where I explored Miniscript, Descriptors, and PSBTs.
