do you have more than a single branch created? I assume you don't see the switch if you only have one branch. also check org rulesets, if your organization has branch rulesets that target the default branch (like restrict deletions, require PR before merging, or block force pushes), the switch/rename buttons just disappear. |

Yeah remove this ruleset switch the default branch than add the ruleset back on...
